About Our Geotechnical, Environmental, and Materials Testing Services for the Transportation Industry
Universal Engineering Sciences, Inc. (Universal) is a major provider of geotechnical, environmental, and materials testing services in the transportation industry for dozens of projects ranging from small municipal projects to the largest Interstate reconstruction projects. These services have been performed for owners, designers and contractors alike. Universal has provided over $20 million in services directly for the FDOT through district-wide contracts. Geotechnical services have been performed on design and design/build projects totaling over $500 million. Contractor Quality Control (CQC) services have been provided on projects totaling over $1 billion during the past five years.
Universal has a talented group of engineers and technicians who are able to provide transportation geotechnical engineering, environmental sciences, and materials testing on projects of any size and type. We have far more company-owned drill rigs (over 36 company-wide), certified testing laboratories, and branch offices than any other company in the Southeast. Additional resources include two former FDOT District Materials Engineers and several other former FDOT employees who are employed by Universal. These highly-experienced personnel enable Universal to provide key insights and process controls unlike any other firm in the Southeast!
